Dromore Win Og Sport Title

Dromore and Castlederg enjoyed success in this year’s Og Sport competition at Garvaghey on Monday evening with dromore winning the Grade One title and the Derg the Grade Two.
The popular seven a side format always produces high quality games allowing skilful players to display their talent. Dromore defeated Killeeshil in a close and exciting semi final before meeting Carrickmore in the final. There was nothing between the teams throughout and it came as no surprise to the large crowd of spectators assembled that extra time was required to find a winner.
The St Dympnas eventually prevailed on a 4-13 to 4-10 scoreline and team captain Padraig Quinn picked up the trophy on behalf of the team.
The team that lifted the title for Dromore was ; Odhran Rafferty, Cahir Goodwin, Caolan McCarron, Nathan McCarron, Padraig Quinn, Mark McGrade, Ciaran McDermott, Ruairi Gallagher, Oran Sludden.
