Ulster San Francisco on Way to Nationals
Wednesday 20.08.2014

Ulster San Francisco made history at the weekend by becoming the first team to win three Senior San Francisco championships in a row. The team was captained this year by man Caolan Daly. The Eglish man plays at midfield on the Ulster side but he isn’t the only Tyrone man doing the business at the far side of America. Edendork’s Niall Morgan lined out in the half forward line while fellow St Malachy’s Harry Og Conlan played in the forward line.
Dromore’s Shaun O’Neill is also part of the San Francisco panel. Ulster defeated Sean Treacys on a scoreline of 3-10 to 1-10 on Sunday afternoon’s final. They will now go forward to the North American Finals in Boston on August 30th where they will also defend their North American title.
Niall Morgan joins Kevin ‘Hub’ Hughes and Stephen O’Neill as members of the Tyrone senior squad who have gone on to win championships with the Ulster San Francisco club.
