St.Patricks Academy Dungannon are through to the semi final of the MacRory Cup after seeing off the challenge of neighbours St.Pats Armagh at Maghery on Saturday afternoon. It was the Academy who were the better side early on with Liam Gervin and Ryan Devlin in superb form as they established a 0-7 to 0-3 lead but then Armagh hit back with points from Conor McNally and Tom Murphy. On the stroke of half time Harry Og Conlon finished off a flowing move with a goal for a 1-7 to 0-6 interval advantage. Another Conlon goal in the third quarter seemed to put Dungannon in control but Armagh hit back with a goal from James McLaughlin with substitute Paul McGeown converting a couple of frees. Dungannon though refused to panic and Gervin scored a well taken individual goal to send them through to their fourth successive MacRory semi final on a 3-12 to 1-9 score line.
