Academy Power Into Last Four
Thursday 19.02.2015
St Patrick’s Academy Dungannon are through to the final four of the 2015 MacRory Cup following a seven point win over the holder St Pat’s Maghera’s in Ballinderry on Wednesday evening. The Dungannon school will now take on St Paul’s Bessbrook in Armagh on Friday week.
The Academy were the much stronger side on the night and after they slipped home an injury time goal thanks to Derrylaughan man Brian Kennedy in the opening half they never looked back. The main feature of the night was the impressive performance of the Academy’s defence which turned over possession time and time again.
Up front Ryan Coleman and Fintan McClure caused all sorts of trouble for Maghera while Cormac O’Hagan was unerring from the dead ball slotting home six beautiful frees during the second half. Final Score St Patrick’s Academy 2-10 St Patrick’s Maghera 0-9
