Academy Through To Casement Cup Semi final

Tyrone hurling continues to prosper with Dungannon Academy defeating Rathmore of Belfast in the quarter final of The Casement Cup on Monday 1.11 to 1.5.

Their reward for this win is a semi final tomorrow at 12.30 in Derrytresk against la Salle Belfast.

In the past the West Tyrone hurling team has competed in this competition.

Academy scorers Damian Casey 0-6. Richard Kelly 1-2. Tiernan Morgan
0-3. All these lads are members of Eoghan Ruadh Dungannon county minor championship winning squad.

Team is a nice blend of Eoghan Ruadh minors along with 5 Naomh
Columcille panelists.

The team had big defensive displays from Ruairi Devlin, Michael Maneely and Eamonn Gough. Duffin left it 0-4 apiece at half time but wind assisted the Academy pulled away to win comfortably in second half.
