St.Patrick’s Academy Dungannon won the Danske Bank MacCormack Cup on Saturday afternoon when they defeated St.Colman’s Newry in the final at The Dub. The Academy got off to a flying start with Coalisland duo Cormac O’Hagan and Michael McKernan  both scoring goals and Ryan Coleman and Stephen Corr featuring among the points as they established a 2-5 to 0-0 lead. Just before halftime Rian O’Neill converted a penalty for St.Colman’s to give them some hope of mounting a comeback. In the second half Coleman and Jude Campbell had Academy points but St.Colman’s closed the gap to just two thanks to efforts from O’Neill and Nicky Murray. O’Hagan had the final say though from a free as it finished 2-8 to 1-8.
