Fintona had been hoping to build on their opening day draw against Kildress but found the experience and quality of Rock a bit too hot to handle. The teams were level at the break on 0-5 apiece. Fintona moved two clear just after the break but second half goals from Aidan Mc Garrity and Mark Ward helped Rock take the points. Shane Murphy(3) and Liam Nugent (2) were also among the points for the winners. Aaron Mc Carney, Nathan Deane and Pauric Kelly on target for the Pearses.
