Brocagh v Kildress (Postponed)

Drumragh continued their good start to the season with an eleven point win over Derrytresk for whom Niall Gavin top scored with six points. Shane Cleary once again highlighted his worth to the Sarsfields with 0-11 while Shane Devine (1-1) and Benny Drumm (1-0) both bagged goals for the winners.

Eskra got the better of Castlederg in a low scoring game winning by two. The winners led 0-5 to 0-3 at the break with Joe Mc Carroll (2), Aaron Kelly, Cathal Meegan and Shane Hackett on target for the Emmetts. In such a tight game a goal was always going to be a big score and it came as a result of a penalty from the boot of Johnny Hackett midway through the second half. Castlederg did have chances to get something from the game but they failed to capitalise on the opportunities they created. Mark Corry (2), Paddy Lynch (4) Darren Traynor and Sean Harper accounted for the Derg scores.

There was another high scoring North Tyrone derby on Saturday when Clan na nGael defeated Dregish. The winners made an impressive start to the game and after scores from Damien Ball (3), Gareth Mc Dermott (2) , Niall Kerlin (3) and Aaron Devine (1-1) they led at the break 1-12 to 0-5. Eoin Dooher and Aaron Devine both hit the net in the second half while three Gareth Mc Dermott points eased the Clans men to a comfortable win. Scoring 2-10 in many matches would be enough to take a team to victory but not in this case. David O’Reilly (1-3) and Pete Mc Crossan (1-0) got the goals for Dregish while Cathal Rodgers (3) and Ben Mc Farland (2) were among the points for their team.

Rock’s good start to the season continued when they had five points to spare against Killeeshil after leading 0-5 to 0-4 at half time. Liam Nugent was once again the go to man for Rock with 0-8 while Mark Ward (1-0) and Shane Murphy (0-2) were others to score. Daniel Miller (3), Pascal Donaghy  (3) and  Tomas Hoy carried most of the scoring threat for Killeeshil.

Table toppers Aghaloo enjoyed a comfortable win over Fintona after a very impressive first half which saw them reach the break leading by nine. Niall Mc Elroy finished the first half with 1-3 while Conor Mullen hit two points for the winners. Fintona were disappointing in the opening half but after the break scores from Aaron Mc Carney (1-4) and Sonny Mc Donagh made sure the second half was a much more competitive affair.

Drumquin lost at home to Brackaville by four as once again youth proved its worth to the team in terms of scores. Sean Mc Donagh top scored with 1-5 while Cormac Rodgers contributed a goal and a point for his team. Ruairi Mc Elhatton and Stefan Gervin got the Owen Roes goals while Tiernan Mc Glinchey, Dale Mc Sorley and Shea Fee were among the points.

Glenelly and Errigal Ciaran served up a real high scoring encounter before the Dunmoyle lads edged it by one. In a fine display of shooting Ronan O’Kane hit 0-9 for the North Tyrone side while their goals came courtesy of Rory Kennedy and Fergus O’Neill. Sean Mellon (1-2) top scored for Errigal while Patrick Mc Dermott (3) and Aidy Mc Cullagh (3) kicked half a dozen points between them. Errigal’s second goal was scored by Aaron Mc Anenly.
