Galbally kept up the pressure on Edendork at the top end of the Intermediate league as they had two points to spare over Cookstown on Thursday evening. Cookstown were on top early with points from from John Gilmore, Matthew Carberry and Barry Potter. The Pearses struck back with a Sean Murphy goal to level the sides by half time.  In the second period Christopher Eastwood and Declan Murphy swapped points as did John Gilmore and Paul Rafferty. Points from Sean Murphy and Enda McGarrity late on won the game for Galbally.

Eskra hosted Aghyaran on Sunday afternoon and the visitors grabbed both points in a close game.  The sides were level at half time with Johnny Hackett and Conor O’Hagan collected a couple of points apiece for Eskra.  Aghyaran sharpshooter Ronan McHugh hit 1-1 during the game while Rodger Leonard, Michael Anderson and Joe McCarroll and O’Hagan swapped points for their sides. Two late points from Aidan Connolly eased Aghyaran over the line.

Edendork and Kildress shared the points in their game this afternoon.  Martin Grimes grabbed a first half goal for the visitors and Des Treacy hit 0-3 during the same period. Karl McGuckin hit the goal for the home side and they added points from Paul Donaghy and Harry Og Conlon to go in level 1-6 apiece at the break.  After the break Paul Donaghy hit 0-5 while Des Treacy and Eoin Branigan shared 0-6 between them.  It took an Eoin Branigan equaliser in injury time to help earn a point for Kildress.

Pomeroy were too strong for Killeeshil who remain rooted to the bottom of the table.  The Plunketts had first half point scorers in Ryan and John Loughran as well as Justin McCaffrey.  Gareth McAleer and John Loughran slotted the goals for the winner.  Shane Mallon, Rory O’Neill, Conal Monaghan and Pascal Donaghy were among the point scorers for the home side.

Fourteen man Moortown secured an eight point win over Gortin at home.  The goals came from Conan and Brian Mc Lernon while Conor Herron added the third.  Mickey Mossey was the top scorer for the St Patrick’s men with Diarmaid McNulty also on target but they weren’t strong enough to bother the St Malachy’s men on this occasion.

Urney collected the prize for most mileage covered this afternoon and they also collected two points when they travelled to Derrylaughan.  Fergal McNulty and Jamie McAleer slotted goals for the visitors while points from Shea Coney, Tomas Carney and Ciaran Gervin kept the Barrys in touch. Plunkett Langan hit Urney’s third goal which proved to be the vital score.

Derrytresk had four points to spare over Loughmacrory at the Hill today.  Caolan Corr and Joe McKee hit points for Derrytresk while Ronan Ward and Niall Grimes responded for Loughmacrory.

Dan Lowe and Conor McCreesh were among the points for their respective sides as Stewartstown won 0-16 to 0-12 at Rock.
