Cookstown recorded their second league win of the season with a thirteen point win over visitors Loughmacrory this afternoon.  The Fr Rock’s were ahead 2-7 to 0-6 at the break thanks to goals from Conor Mullan and Shea McGarrity.  Raymond Mulgrew, Matthew Carberry and Christopher Eastwood were also on the scoreboard during that period as were Cathal Donaghy, Aaron Kelly and Mark McCullagh for Loughmacrory.  John Gilmore ended the game as a contest shortly after the break when he bagged a major for the home side while they had further point scorers in Christopher Eastwood, Ruairi Mullan and Martin Murray.  Ronan Ward, Cathal Donaghy and Pauraic Meenagh were point scorers in the second period for the visitors.

Edendork remain joint top of ACL Division 2 thanks to five points from veteran forward Brian McGuckin in their narrow two point win over Eskra away from home.  Stephen Corr, Tommy Lowe and Conor Mallon were also on the scoreboard for the victors. Joe McCarroll and Conor O’Hagan led the way in the scoring stakes for the Emmetts.

Killeeshil  picked up a very useful point away from home when they drew with Gortin.  Aaron McKenna slotted a goal and a point for the St Mary’s side while Packie McMullan finished the game with 0-4.  Pascal Donaghy, John McMullan and Ruairi O’Neill were also scorers for Killeeshil. Ruairi Keenan top scored for Gortin with 1-4 with Diarmaid McNulty their other goal scorer.

Pomeroy welcomed Moortown to Plunkett Park and lost out by a single point.  Hugh McNamee and Hugh Pat McGeary kicked three points apiece for the home side while Brendan Burns, John Loughran, Justin Lambe and Ryan Loughan also recorded points for the losing team.

Aghyaran made the long run to Gortacladdy on Sunday but left happy enough having secured a share of the spoils courtesy of a late equalising point off the boot of Ronan Mc Hugh. Indeed Mc Hugh top scored for his side with eight of their fourteen points while Paddy Mc Nulty, Caolan Dolan and Sean Byrne were also on target for the St Davogs.

A Caolan Mc Namee goal late in the first half helped keep Kildress in the game as they reached the break 0-9 to 1-4 behind. The Wolfe Tones closed the gap in the second half and went ahead when Johnny Connolly hit the net with their second major of the day. It took a late point from Mc Hugh to level the game as the match finished Kildress 2-8, Aghyaran 0-14.

Galbally stay joint top of the table after beating Derrytresk 0-16 to 1-11 at Pearse Park. Defender Ronan Nugent weighed in with five points for the home side with Sean Murphy getting the same. Caolan Corr and Niall Gavin had points for the visitors with Joe McKee’s goal coming too late to save them.

Stephen Lafferty and Shane Coyle found the net for Urney as they triumphed at home to Stewartstown. Jamie McAleer and Fergal McNulty weighed in with half a dozen points between them with Gareth Devlin getting 1-2 for the Harps and Anton Coyle two points.

Ciaran Quinn was the Derrylaughan hero as his last gasp goal saw the Kevin Barrys edge past Rock at home. Ciaran Gervin, Brendan Quinn and Sean Robinson were among the Derrylaughan points with Conor McCreesh getting a number of scores for Rock.
