Strabane made the long haul to Stewartstown on Friday evening and they came away with a deserved share of the spoils. Warner Mullan led the way in the scoring stakes for the Sigersons with eight points while Martin Mongan got their goal. James Kelly got the major for the Harps with Paul Dillon, Tiernan Rush and Dan Lowe among their point scorers.
Mark Carson scored a goal on the stroke of halftime to help Greencastle secure a first win of the campaign at the expense of fellow strugglers Cookstown. Ryan Gumley and Paddy McElhatton provided points for Greencastle while John Gilmore hit 0-4 for the Father Rocks and Martin Murray was also on target.
Clogher left it late to win in Newtownstewart despite the fact that they led by six points at halftime. Fergal McKenna got the Eire Ogs goal as well as a few points with Barry McKenna, Mark Bogue and Conor Shields also on target. Brendan Boyle got the goal for the home side with Aidan McSorley landing a number of points and Kevin Gallagher getting his name on the score sheet as well.
Martin Rodgers weighed in with a dozen points and Conor McNamee and Jack Campbell registered as well as Beragh made home advantage count against Urney. Johnny Lafferty hit 1-7 for the St.Columbas with Jamie McAleer and Fergal McNulty their other marksmen on the day.
Galbally made it six wins out of six when overcoming neighbours Pomeroy at Pearse Park. A Ciaran McKenna goal had the visitors in front but Mark Donnelly then raised a green flag for the hosts. Sean Murphy top scored for the Pearses with Enda McGarrity, Ronan Nugent and Conor Donaghy also on target. Ronan Duffin, Gavin Goodfellow and Ollie McCreesh had points for Pomeroy.
Owen Roes secured an impressive victory away to Aghyaran. Tony Devine sent them on their way with an early goal and they had points from Conor O’Neill, Brendan Boggs and Conall McCormack. Ethan McHugh led the way in the scoring stakes for the St.Davogs with defenders Bernard and Cahir Moss also on target.
Leo Meenan grabbed the only goal of the game as Loughmacrory remain unbeaten after accounting for Augher at home. Pauraic Meenagh, Cathal Donaghy and Cathaoir Gallagher had points for the home side with Liam Connolly accounting for all of the St.Macartans’ tally.
It finished all square between Moortown and Gortin at the Loughshore. Peter Keenan, Brian McGarvey and Sean Og McAleer were among the points for the visitors, the latter grabbing a late equaliser. Ryan Kelly, Brian McLernon and Conor Herron all scored three for the St.Malachys.
