Cookstown may have scored more times than their neighbours Kildress but it was the Wolfe Tones who took the spoils from Paddy Cullen Park.  Mattie McGuigan and Philip Lennon hit 2-5 between them for the visitors on a day when James McGahan, Owen Mulligan and Oisin McNia had points for the hosts.

Seamus Muldoon and Mattie McGleenan got the all important goals as Eglish won away to Loughmacrory.  Pauraic Meenagh and Cathair Gallagher got all bar one of the hosts tally between them but in the end it wasn’t enough as it finished 2-11 to 0-11.

Gortin have made a good start to the season and the latest result was never in doubt as they eased to a win over Moortown. Sean McKenna, Peter Keenan, Eoghan McGarvey and Sean Og McAleer had points in their 0-17 to 0-4 win, Michael Hagan with all but one of the Moortown tally.

James Kelly hit 2-1 and Gareth Devlin 0-5 as Stewartstown recorded a hard earned win at Greencastle. Peter Fox got the goal for the home side with Paddy McElhatton weighing in with 0-6 but they still have no league points to show for their efforts.

Late first half goals from Matthew Walsh and Lorcan Mallon helped propel Dungannon to victory at home to Aghaloo. Paddy Quinn and Dalaigh Jones were also among the points for the Clarkes with Tiernan Donnelly kicking four points for the visitors and Niall McElroy getting their goal.

Urney got the only goals of the game from Chris Bogle and Plunkett Langan but it wasn’t enough to prevent them from losing at home to Tattyreagh. Johnny Harkin, Colin Harkin, James Darcy and Joe Cartin kicked 0-14 between them for last season’s Junior championship winners.

Darragh Kavanagh, Aidan McElroy and Liam Connolly all scored points as Augher had to dig deep to get a narrow win at Derrytresk. Once again Niall Gavin top scored for the home side with Ultan McKee also weighing in with a couple of points.

Strabane failed to score in the second half as newly promoted Owen Roes took their first points of the campaign. It was level pegging at the end of a low scoring opening period with Brendan Boggs and Rory McElroy among the points for their respective sides. In the second half the home side took over with points from Cathal McShane, Seamus Dooher and Ronan McNulty with Tony Devine getting the only goal of the game.
