Dregish broke their duck with a hard fought but well deserved win over Errigal Thirds on Saturday. A late goal from Conor Mc Hugh proved the decisive score as the Pearse Ogs claimed their first win of the year. Aidan O’Kane top scored for the victors with 0-6 while David O’Reilly (2), Ronan Glackin and Cormac Taggart were also on target. Emmett Hackett (4) and Patrick Mc Dermott (3) were among the scorers for Errigal.

Clan na nGael hosted Eskra on Sunday but found the quality of their opponents too much to handle. Two first half goals from Johnny Hackett put the visitors in a strong position but Clan na nGael took hope into the break following a Michael O’Neill goal just before the break. However on a day when Damien Ball top scored for the home side with five points Eskra eased to a nine point win 2-15 to 1-09. Cathal Meegan (2), Cormac Arkinson (1), Shane Hackett (4), Paul Turbitt (2) and Johnny Hackett (4) carried most of the Eskra scoring threat.

Ronan Fox hit 1-1 for Brackaville as the Owen Roes and Castlederg played out an entertaining draw. Mark Corry and Bradley Devine both hit three points apiece as the Derg looked set for the win before Fox’s injury time pile-driver found the net and a late late point from Martin Gervin earned their team a draw.

Killeeshil enjoyed a comfortable 3-15 to 1-6 win over Drumquin on Sunday afternoon. Tomas Hoy (1-5) and Pascal Donaghy (7) were scorers in chief while Michael O’Neill and Daniel Miller both hit the net. Barry Gormley (3), Sean Mc Donagh (4) and Cormac Rodgers were on target for the Wolfe Tones.

Kildress defeated Rock following a very competitive contest between two very capable sides. Mattie Mc Guigan proved his worth once again to the Kildress cause with eight of his team’s points while Pauric Lagan’s ability from the placed ball also proved decisive. Liam Nugent top scored for Rock with 0-6 while Mark Ward (1-0), Aidan Mc Garrity (0-1) and Shane Murphy (0-2) were among the scores for Rock.

Three first half goals from Brocagh helped the loughshore side to another convincing win over Fintona with Niall Mc Closkey (2) and Colm Mc Fall (1) both finding the net. Mickey Hughes and Cathal Donnelly hit five points apiece to ensure the win went to the Emmetts. On a day to forget for Fintona Mark Mc Glynn (3), Pauric Kelly (2), Justin Murphy (1-1), and Nathan Deane (1) did the scoring for the Pearses.

Glenelly hosted Drumragh and lost out 2-11 to 1-11 having come from 2-8 to 1-2 behind at the break. Ronan Kirk hit 1-1 while Ronan O’Kane scored six points for their team. Drumragh’s key man Shane Cleary found his shooting boots once again with 2-5 while Paul Maguire hit four of his team’s winning total.
