Brackaville defeated Drumquin after a high scoring, competitive game on Sunday. First half goals from Sean Day and Dale Mc Sorley helped the Owen Roes to reach the break 2-7 to 1-3 in front. Shea Fee and Sean Mc Nally were also on target with points for the winners in an impressive first half. Shane Skelton found the net for Drumquin while Cormac Rodgers, Liam Patterson and Eamon Teague were among the points for the Wolfe Tones. However they were not enough to deny Brackaville a well deserved 2-13 to 1-11 win with Day, Mc Nally and Gary Ferguson all landing second half points for their team.
Clogher produced a strong second half to defeat hosts Brocagh 1-9 to 0-10. The Emmetts led 0-6 to 0-5 at the break after a close opening thirty minutes. Michael Hughes landed a brace for Brocagh while Conan Mc Donald, Michael Carolan, James Mc Kiver and Colm Mc Fall each scored a point. Hughes and Christopher Mc Closkey bagged a pair of points each after the break but Jamie Callaghan’s 1-1 along with scores from Fergal Mc Kenna, Conor Shields and Ryan Mc Caughey ensured the points went to the Eire Ogs.
Drumragh maintained their good run of form defeating Killeeshil 3-12 to 1-9 on Saturday. Goalkeeper James Colgan opened the scoring for the Sarsfields and Shane Cleary added five first half points before Jude Campbell found the net just before the break to put Drumragh 1-7 to 1-3 in front at half time. Second half goals from Cleary and Benny Drumm sealed the win for the visitors while Killeeshil finally showed signs of recovery from their recent run of poor form. Liam Hughes (4), Conor Donaghy (1-0), Rory Mc Cann and Pascal Donaghy were among the scores for the St. Mary’s.
Errigal Ciaran Thirds defeated Clan na nGael 2-9 to 1-8 in spite of a missed second half Daire Tierney penalty. The Dunmoyle lads led by one at the break 1-3 to 0-5. Paul O’Donnell (1-2), Michael Harte (0-5) and Sean Mellon (1-0) top scored for the winners while Danny Ball (1-3) and Gareth Mc Dermott (3) did most of the scoring for the North Tyrone lads.
Fintona hosted Derrytresk but came up short in a tight game which saw the sides level at the break 0-5 apiece. Aaron Mc Carney hit all nine of his side’s scores from frees while Liam Slater (4) and Niall Gavin (3) were on target for the Hillmen as they edged a close match 0-10 to 0-9.
Owen Roes travelled across to Beragh and came away with the points following a 1-8 to 1-5 win over the Red Knights. Conor O’Neill bagged 0-4 for the winners while Cathal McShane hit 0-2 and Brendy Boggs 1-1 in a game that saw Barry Tracey’s side led 1-6 to 0-1 at the break. Jack Campbell (3), Pete Meenagh (1) and Nathan Grimes (1) replied with points for the home side while Niall Owens got their goal. However Owen Roes prevailed with solid displays from Gerard Devine, Brendy Boggs, Conall Mc Cormick and Stephen Kelly.
Glenelly were rewarded for their long run to Killyman with a two point win over their hosts. Killyman did lead at the break 0-5 to 0-3 with Enda Mc Gahan and Mickey Donnelly among the points but Glenelly improved after the break. Colm Hicks, Shane Devine, Seamus Harkin and Ronan Devine were on target for the winners who hit an impressive nine second half points to secure the win 0-12 to 0-10.
