Mickey Hughes hit 1-2 for the Emmetts while Justin Campbell’s converted a second half penalty for his team.

A high scoring game between Drumragh and Killeeshil resulted in a six point win for the St Mary’s on a score line of 2-13 to 3-16. Pascal Donaghy top scored for the winners with 0-8 while Cormac Donaghy (1-3), Gary Reilly (1-1) and Aaron Mc Kenna got the all important goals in what was a free flowing open game of football. Shane Cleary once again showed his worth to the Sarsfields with 0-8 to his name while Eamon Rea and Gareth Haughey bagged their goals. However Killeeshil were not to be denied and ended up deserving winners.

Clan na nGael recovered from being six points down after the opening twenty minutes. Scores from Stephen Gormley, Ryan Mc Callion, Frankie Mc Alynn, Cormac Rodgers and James O’Kane helped put Drumquin 0-7 to 0-1 ahead before points from Gareth Mc Dermott, Paul Gormley , Daniel Houston and Eoin Dooher helped CNG reach the break trailing only by two. A goal from Joe Ball straight from the throw in gave CNG the perfect start and further points from Stevie O’Neill and Paul Gormley helped them to another two league points.

Beragh looked impressive as they defeated Newtownstewart by four points. Martin Rodgers was in fine scoring form as he accounted for 1-8 of his team’s total. Jack Campbell hit 1-1 for the Red Knights while Pete Meenagh and Aaron Owens also got among the points. Aidan Mc Sorley(1-5) and Ryan Mayse(1-1) carried most of the scoring threat for Newtownstewart although Mayse scored his goal from the penalty spot deep in injury time.

Killyman will feel they let the game slip against Rock having led 1-6 to 1-4 at the break before losing by a point 1-10 to 1-9. Aidan Mc Garrity (1-3) and Liam Nugent (0-4) were the key men for Rock. Enda Mc Gahan was once again the leading scorer for Killyman hitting 0-7 of his team’s total. Luke Roche got Killyman’s goal which helped them lead at the break 1-6 to 1-4.
