Castlederg enjoyed a fairly comfortable 0-15 to 1-3 win over Errigal Thirds on Saturday evening at Dunmoyle. Aaron Mc Anenly bagged a goal for the home team in the first half but the Derg reached the break 0-8 to 1-1 in front with Mark Corry (3) and Stefan Gallen (2) among the points for the North Tyrone side.  With the championship only a week away it was important for both sides to put in a performance. Unfortunately for Errigal it was the visitors who hit the ground running and continued to dominate after the break. Corry (4), Gallen, Bradley Devine and Conor Mc Callion were on target In the second half as the Derg eased to a morale boosting win. Ronan Tierney and Emmett Hackett were Errigal’s other scorers on the day.

Drumquin entertained Glenelly on Sunday but found the Plumbridge outfit too hot to handle. Sean Mc Donagh (5) and Mattie Mc Dermott (2) carried most of the scoring threat for the home side but having been reduced to fourteen men in the first half they struggled to compete against their opponents. Ronan O’Kane and Aodhan Mc Connell both hit four points for the visitors while Cathal O’Neill’s first half goal was a key score in the game. Séamus Harkin (2), Liam Nicholas, Michael Lindsay and Rory Kennedy were all on target for the winners.

Brocagh enjoyed a comfortable win over Dregish on Sunday with  Ciaran Campbell (1-1) and Mickey Hughes (5) doing most of the scoring. Ciaran Donnelly (2), Justin Campbell (2) and Mark Campbell were also among the points for the Emmetts. Cathal Rodgers hit 0-3 for Dregish with their other scores coming from David O’Reilly, Conor Breen and Gary Breen.

Clan na nGael took the points after a high scoring contest with Brackaville. Once again Gareth Mc Dermott and Danny Ball proved their worth with eleven points between them while Niall Kerlin got the all important goal. The win was very much built on an impressive first thirty minutes that saw their hard work rewarded when they reached the break leading 1-11 to 0-6.

Eskra certainly made home advantage pay in a one sided game that saw them defeat Killyman 6-13 to 0-7. First half goals from Aaron Kelly and Paul Turbitt plus four Joe Mc Carroll points helped them reach the break ten clear. Four further goals in the second half from Niall Mc Ginn, Niall Marlowe, Thomas Meegan and Aaron Kelly made sure there would be no second half comeback from Killyman. On a disappointing day for Killyman Eamon Donnelly (3), Michael Donnelly (2) and Ryan Mc Kenna (2) accounted for their scores.

Drumragh defeated Fintona in their derby clash on Sunday with Shane Cleary hitting eleven of his team’s points. Martin Taggart bagged 0-3 while Benny Drumm (2) and Shane Devine (1-0) were also on target. Fintona will be disappointed with their second half showing having been well in the game at the break. Cathal Starrs (3), Peter Mc Glynn (3) and Padraig Kelly (1-1) were among the scorers for Fintona.

Aghaloo got back to winning ways with a 0-13 to 0-10 win over Rock. Tiernan Donnelly hit eight of his team’s tally while Ruairi Mc Glone, Jody Mc Glone, Conor Mullen and Niall Mc Elroy were also on target. Shane Murphy top scored for Rock with 0-5 while Liam Nugent (4) and Cormac O’Neill weighed in with scores too.
