Shay Mc Guigan starred for Ardboe in their high scoring win over Coalisland Fianna on Tuesday evening as the Rossas picked up the two points after a 0-19 to 0-13 win. Mc Guigan and Nishy O’Neill hit eleven points between them on a night when Ardboe started well and led 0-6 to 0-1 after ten minutes. By half time the gap was down to one with the home side 0-8 to 0-7 ahead but that was as close as the Fianna got. With Shay Mc Guigan in fine form Ardboe kept Coalisland at arm’s length with further scores from DD Mulgrew and Michael O’Neill. Cormac O’Hagan led the line for the Fianna with 0-7 while Plunkett Kane (2), Brian Toner(2), Stevie Mc Nally and Dermot Thornton also landed points for their side.

In spite of being short seven starters Donaghmore defeated Derrytresk 2-16 to 0-11. Brannan Molloy and Tiernan Drayne scored 2-6 between them and in spite of not scoring for the first twenty minutes of the second half the winners finished strongly with 1-8 in the closing minutes. Niall Mc Kenna (3), Caolan Mulgrew (2), Deasuin Quinn (3), Damien Mc Caul (1) and Richard Kelly (1) were all on target for the village outfit.
