Aghaloo went into their first round game with Killyman as overwhelming favourites and they fully justified that tag with an emphatic victory at Dunmoyle on Saturday afternoon. Over the course of the sixty odd minutes the winners had no fewer than eleven different marksmen as they dominated from first whistle to last.

Niall McElroy sent over the first point after only twenty five seconds from play and he added four first half frees as well as assisting in a further 1-2 before he was withdrawn at halftime. Conor Mullan, Niall Henderson and man of the match Oliver Sherry all tagged on points with McElroy placing James O’Hara for a 29th minute goal. Killyman failed to register in the first half and they were always going to be up against it especially after midfielder Sean Donnelly was sent off as early as the 14th minute.

McElroy made way for Tiernan Donnelly for the second half and the latter matched the former’s tally with five quality scores. Sherry, Henderson, Patryk Kinder and Jody McGlone all tagged on second half points. Killyman opened their account in the 41st minute through Ronan McVeigh with Enda McGahan getting their only other score on the day. A special mention  to Killyman keeper Emmett Meehan who made three great saves during the contest.
