Aghaloo 3-18 Brocagh 0-4
Aghaloo opened the scoring after only 12 seconds as Jody McGlone hammered home a goal to the top right of the Brocagh net. Tiernan Donnelly converted the first of his frees in the 3rd minute and two minutes later a neat turn and shot from Niall McElroy had the Aughnacloy men five ahead.
James O’Hara fired over point number three in the 7th minute and Tiernan Donnelly added his first point from play in the 11th minute. Brocagh opened their account in 14th minute with an excellent Mickey Hughes point from a free. An excellent Dan Davidson save denied Aghaloo a second goal in the 18th minute and in the 23rd minute Aidan Dorman cut the lead to five points with a right footed shot the split the posts.
Tiernan Donnelly kicked Aghaloo’s first point in 14 minutes and he was on target again in the 25th minute. Ruairi McGlone added Aghaloo’s 7th point a minute later. Brocagh recorded the next score in the 30th minute with a Mickey Hughes free but is wasn’t long before Aghaloo were on the scoresheet again. Niall McElroy kicked the opening score of the second half for Aghaloo in the 35th minute and Tiernan Donnelly fisted home a third goal a minute later following a shot off the crossbar from McGlone. McElroy was back on target in the 37th minute and Tiernan Donnelly moved Aghaloo to 3-10 with a free in the 39th minute.
Donnelly was on target again in the 40th minute and it was another nine minutes until the next score arrived via Ruairi McGlone. McGlone added another score in the 50th minute to ease Aghaloo out to a nineteen point lead. Niall McElroy slotted his 4th point of the afternoon in the 54th and a minute later Jody McGlone clipped over another point this time from play. Niall McElroy was on target from a free in the 58th minute and Ruairi McGlone bulldozed through the Brocagh defence to score a point a minute later. It took until the 60th minute for Brocagh to record their only point of the second half with Niall McCloskey firing over. Niall McElroy had the final score of the game in the 63rd minute.
