Aghyaran Defeat Omagh In Grade Three Minor Championship Opener

Aghyaran made the trip to Healy Park for their first round Grade 3 minor championship clash this evening and came away with a very convincing thirteen point win on a score line of 3-16 to 3-3. The St Davogs dominated from the start and had opened up a 2-8 to 1-2 lead by the break. Although the home side came well into the game in the second half they were unable to bridge the gap and Aghyaran ran out convincing winners. Scorers for the winners: Ronan Mc Hugh 1-09, Cahir Moss 1-03, Eoin Byrne 1-0, Sean Dillon 0-2 and a point apiece for Brian Penrose and Tommy Dolan.
