Aghyaran Win U21 Title

Aghyaran are grade three U21 winners after beating Owen Roes 0-10 to 0-8 in the final at Castlederg on Saturday afternoon. Owen Roes led 0-4 to 0-3 at the interval thanks to points from Kevin O’Neill and Aaron Lynch, Gary Leonard, Aidan Connolly and Sean Byrne on target for the St.Davogs. In the second half Aghyaran turned things around as Connolly tagged on another four points with Byrne notching a brace and Roger Leonard also on target. O’Neill, Lynch and Paul Devine all scored points for Owen Roes. Inside a five minute spell in the second half there were three players sent off by referee Mickey McCann all for double yellow card offences, Gerard McShane of Owen Roes and Aghyaran half back duo Gary Leonard and Darragh Brown.
