Allianz Cumann na mBunscol, Thir Eoghain, held their 4-Wall Handball County Finals on Tuesday 23 January in the superb Loughmacrory Handball Alley. Primary schools from across the county competed for a number of prestigious titles in the U11 and U13 grade for Girls and Boys, at Singles and Doubles level.

A large crowd of spectators made for a good atmosphere and they were treated to matches of the highest order, as the participants showcased their vast array of skills. A new entrant this year, St. Mary’s P.S. Pomeroy, certainly enhanced proceedings. It was obvious that all the schools were up for the battle in their bid to capture a coveted county title.

Also, our thanks to Patrick McGivern and Eddie Doris (Allianz Cumann na mBunscol) for presenting medals on the day.

The Tyrone champions in each category now advance to the Ulster Finals next month in Belfast. We wish them all well as worthy Tyrone ambassadors.
