There is always an air of expectancy as the first round of the Ulster Championship approaches. The wait for team news and possible inclusions, debuts or omissions causes much debate and angst. Manager Mickey Harte will name his team tonight for Sunday’s game and the question on many people’s lips is will Brian Dooher be on the starting fifteen?

Well all that and more will be revealed tonight at the Club Tyrone function in Kelly’s Inn where the team and management from Tyrone’s first ever All Ireland Final appearance in 1986 will be honoured. In addition to all this the new club championship sponsor will be revealed and the draws for the senior, intermediate and junior championships will be made. Whatever about the debate concerning Mickey Harte’s team selection there can be little doubt that a few “big” draws in the club championship will have the keyboards tapping wildly before midnight.
