Ardboe And Errigal Draw.

Ardboe and Errigal Ciaran played out a highly entertaining 1-11 apiece draw in Ardboe tonight in the last fixture of round ten in the first division of the All County League. Played at a frenetic pace throughout Ardboe led 1-4 to 0-5 at the break with their goal coming on thirty minutes from Anthony Devlin. Devlin himself, Nishy O’Neill and Paul Coney landed points for the home side while Ronan Mc Rory, Brian Horisk and Ciaran Mc Ginley were on target for Errigal. The second half saw no let up in the pace as both teams went for broke with Horisk getting a goal for the visitors but a point from Shea Mc Guigan in the twenty third minute put the home side two ahead and in pole position for the win. However Errigal showed huge heart and character to land the next three points with Caolan Tierney getting two of them to take the lead as the game entered injury time. With time running out referee Eugene Mc Connell awarded Ardboe a free and Nishy O’Neill showed nerves of steel to send over the equaliser and ensure a well deserved point for his side.
