Augher Preparing For The Future

Augher St Macartans have been very busy both on and off the park recently with a serious drive to upgrade their facilities, generate finance and grow and expand their reach within the local community.
This week the club held a special GAA Camp where the local children engaged in sport, music, dance and Irish language classes. It proved hugely popular and was attended by just over one hundred and twenty youngsters. We will be carrying a separate story on the success of the camp later on.
On Tuesday afternoon they welcomed Uachtarán Cumann Lúthchleas Gael John Horan and LGFA President Marie Hickey to their clubrooms to mark the official opening of their upgraded facilities.
The club is looking forward to welcoming members and the wider GAA community to their next big project which will be held at the Crannon Inn on Saturday August 17th. The “Reelin’ In The Years” will be a night of nostalgia and reflection as the club looks back at some of the highlights and achievements of the seventies, eighties and nineties.
