Badoney Capture Ladies Minor Title

Badoney lifted the Grade 4 Minor ladies title following a very convincing win over a gallant Kildress side at Garvaghy on Monday evening. Team captain Mairead Mc Kenna, Niamh Mc Connell and Geraldine Meehan were the pick of a very capable defence. Dearbhla Mc Donald top scored for the winners with 3-01 while Megan Mc Aleer hit Badoney’s other goal. Midfielder Lucy Mc Callion was another who showed well for Badoney. Kildress will feel they did not play to their potential on the night but even though Aoife Girvan and Aloisia Loughran battled throughout they lost out to the better side.
Final score: Badoney 4-06, Kildress 2-02.
