Benny And John Come Up Short.
Thursday 09.06.2011

As the weeks go on it seems the job of the match forecasters is not becoming any easier. Ardboe legend Benny Hurl along with Eglish referee John Mc Cann put their heads together in an attempt to try and break the magical 70% barrier. Unfortunately for the pair it proved a bridge too far as, a bit like the Irish economy, several of their “bankers” failed to deliver. It would appear that their decision to back Ardboe to beat Eglish caused quite a stir among the St. Patrick’s players and supporters as the men in black put the Loughshore lads to the sword. With one game still outstanding the deadly duo have managed to score 62% which leaves them some way behind the current leaders Joe Mc Mahon and Peter Canavan.
Surprisingly for Benny it was his Division One predictions that let him down the most managing to get only four out of eight correct, a return of fifty percent and ultimately that was what brought the score down.
