Autumn 2011 sees the Beragh Red Knights Club continue its activity classes at its Sports Pavilion for the fifth consecutive year.  These fun activities are open to all sections of the community and everyone is welcome to attend.  Details of the activity classes are recorded below and anyone seeking information on any aspect of them are asked to contact Shirley Roberts on 07795111677.

The Club commenced organising classes in 2007 after the construction of its new sports pavilion which included a designated cross community room.  Hundreds of local people and indeed people from outside the Beragh and Sixmilecross areas have participated and enjoyed a range of classes since that date.  A testament to their success is the fact that yet again this year, the club is able to provide a wide range of classes which it hopes will meet the needs of everyone in the community.

The programme of classes begins on Monday 12th September when the Ladies Total Body Toning class with Colleen Connolly gets underway at 6:30pm.  This class runs for 10 weeks and is a great all over body workout.  It is designed to increase fitness levels whilst enhancing body tone and gives a great sense of achievement and feel good factor.

Not to be left behind, the men will get their opportunity later on Monday evening at 8:00pm when Shane Donnelly takes the Circuit Training class.  Circuit Training is a resistance training programme designed to be easy to follow whilst giving you a great workout.

Tuesday 13th September sees the beginning of the dance crazy Zumba class.  This class is a Latin inspired dance workout beginning at 7:30pm and lasting for 1 hour.  One of the main thrusts of this fitness programme is to let you indulge and enjoy the music. You do not need to master or follow the moves perfectly during your first few sessions, just feel the tunes and let loose!  All are encouraged to bring along friends to the class as Zumba is particularly enjoyable whilst participating in a larger group.

Thursday 15th September at 7:00pm sees the beginning of the Kettle Bells class.  This class may not be commonly known in the area, but rest assured it will boost your energy and fitness levels whilst still being a great fat burning workout.  Strengthening and toning your entire body, this class will see you burn up to 1,000 calories in a single session.

The Beragh Red Knights Club also hopes to add a Senior Dance Class to its programme of events taking place at the pavilion over the coming weeks.  It is only through the support of the local people that these classes have been so successful over the years and it is certain that they will once again be well supported.  All are encouraged to participate in the class or classes of their choice, ensuring that they have a great opportunity to meet others from the locality and have fun whilst improving their personal fitness levels at the same time.
