Brackaville Pip Fintona In Close Encounter

Brackaville had a point to spare over Fintona after a hard fought game on Friday night. The Pearses started well and led by three points early in the first half. They had six different scorers in the first half with Cathal Starrs, Mark Mc Glynn and Aaron Mc Carney among the points. However points from Rian Mc Hugh and Sean Day (2) soon had the teams level. A goal from the penalty spot by Jason O’Neill helped Brackaville reach the break 1-4 to 0-6 in front.
Fintona battled gamely throughout the second half with top score specialist Mc Carney hitting six second half points. That helped them to finally draw level as the match entered the closing minutes. However points from Shea Fee, Gary Ferguson and Joe Rafferty were enough to secure another win for the Owen Roes. Final score 1-11 to 0-13.
