Bundoran Hotelier Brian McEniff feels that Tyrone will still be involved in the race for Sam Maguire going into August but he isn’t so sure how far the Red Hands can go.

“It was a good win for Tyrone down in Longford as the home side had pushed Kerry a few years ago while they also took a few notable scalps such as Mayo and Derry. It’s difficult to say how far they will go though as they have been at the top for a number of years and that can take its toll on players.

I believe that they will beat either Armagh or Wicklow. Armagh haven’t kicked on from their win over Down and they have a bit of work to do. Tyrone would then face the beaten Connaught finalists and I would say that they would prefer to meet Roscommon as Mayo have proved difficult opponents for them over the years. I would expect Tyrone to be still in the championship next month but after that I’m not so sure.”
