ACL | Brocagh Snatch Late Draw Against Killyman
Tuesday 30.06.2015
Ciaran Donnelly popped up with a richly deserved equaliser as Brocagh shared the spoils 1-14 to 2-11 with Killyman in tonight’s Donnelly Vauxhall Division Three league clash at the Loughshore.
The Emmett’s dominated the opening quarter thanks to an opportunist Justin Campbell goal with Cathal Donnelly and Michael Hughes featuring among their points as they moved 1-5 to 0-3 ahead.
Killyman battled back with Michael Donnelly getting a goal but that was to be their last score of the half as the hosts hit the final four points of the half to establish a commanding six point interval lead.
The third period saw both teams trading scores but when Barry Donnelly opened up a four point cushion again Brocagh looked poised for victory. Killyman though responded to the challenge and with the game entering injury time Damien McNulty’s goal levelled the tussle. Killyman then took the lead in a dramatic conclusion that saw Donnelly rescuing a precious point for the hosts.
