Brock Cup Semi Final Defeat For Dungannon.

It was something of a bridge too far for St. Pat’s Dungannon in this morning’s Brock Cup Semi Final when they lost to Mc Cartans Monaghan on a scoreline of 5-11 to 3-10. In fairness to Monaghan they were the better side throughout but the Academy’s cause was certainly not helped by the fact that quite a few of their players had played for their clubs last night in a full round of minor league fixtures. They looked tired and laboured for long periods and just could not summon up the reserves of energy necessary to seriously threaten Monaghan who were deserving winners. Scorers for Dungannon were Ruairi Mc Glone 1-2, Tiernan Donnelly 0-5, Ciaran Hughes 1-1, Sean Corr 1-0 and Stevie Mc Grath 0-2.
