St Ciaran’s Ballygawley has enjoyed a rich tradition of sporting achievement and success over the years and none more so than in Gaelic Football. The Boys’ team is presently preparing for a Mac Rory Cup play-off game with St Colman’s Newry for a place in the quarter finals of that competition.
However the school’s ladies teams are also currently enjoying a very successful season.
They are through to the Ulster final in both the Under 20 and Under 16 competitions with the Under 20 final just around the corner. They face Loreto College Cavan in that decider on Wednesday 29th of January in Emyvale with a 12:30pm throw in time.
Meanwhile the Under 16 side is looking forward to locking horns with either Loreto Convent Omagh or Mount Lourdes Enniskillen in their provincial final in just over a fortnight’s time.
Best wishes to all three teams in their quest for glory. We hope to keep you posted with updates from the girls’ game and we will be bringing live commentary from the Mac Rory play-off on Friday night.
