The U14 Féile Skills Challenge was held on Sunday 13th May, at Fr. Connolly Park, Eglish.

Two great players from every club across the County were nominated to compete, with the top three results as follows:

1st place:

Kaitlin Gallagher (Eglish)

2nd Place:

Lara Devlin (Edendork)

Joint 3rd place:

Grainne Mc Donald (Brocagh)

Sorche Canavan (Doiretreasc)

The skills proved quite demanding of the players, testing their striking on both sides, score taking and control of the ball. The players were split into two groups to complete the six stations:

1. Ground Striking

2. Free Taking

3. Lift and Strike

4. Lift, Solo & Goal

5. Póc Fáda

6. Ground Cut

The girls were well up for the challenge and there were many close calls in the scoring! Thanks to Eglish for the use of their facilities, Leona and Anne for organising the event and overseeing the scoring, and all who helped out. Well done to all players for competing, especially Kaitlin Gallagher who will go forward to compete at a National skills competition in June, representing Tyrone!
