Tyrone will play Cavan in Derrytresk GAC on Sunday @4:00pm in the National League Division 4 semi-final. They will be buoyed by their most recent success over Cavan in the league when the two teams played in Healy Park. Manager Dean McParland said of the fixture,
“Tyrone is a very young side and the National League has always been the main focus for the players this year. Cavan will be tough as usual but we are going into the game knowing we must stay focused on the task in hand.”
The team has been guided by the very experienced captain Julie Lagan and she knows what it is like to win an All-Ireland League title as she was part of the triumphant 2010 title winners. Julie said,
“The players set their sights on big games like this at the start of the year. National titles don’t come easy and our young team will give it their all on Sunday. Home advantage is a massive plus for us and our blend of youth and experience is something we hope can see us overcome this penultimate hurdle.”
