Carrickmore recovered from conceding two early goals to Lisa Marie Skeffington and Louise Kelly to tie the game at half time thanks to a Claire Gallagher goal late in first half injury time. the score at the break was Killeeshil 2-1, Carrickmore 1-4. The favourites began the second half well with points from Lynette Hughes and Claire Gallagher and moved 2-7 to 2-1 ahead before a Zoe Loughran goal brought Killeeshil back into the game. The underdogs continued to battle hard and when Lisa Marie Skeffington hit her side’s fourth goal there was only a point between the teams Killeeshil 4-3, Carrickmore 2-11. However Carrickmore responded almost immediately with a goal from Sinead Mc Aleer and pointd from Gemma Begley and claire Gallagher ensured Carrickmore made it through to a semi final meeting with St Macartans on a final score line Carrickmore 3-13, Killeeshil 4-3.
