Carrickmore Ladies Enjoy Championship Win Over Donaghmore

Carrickmore hosted Donaghmore in the Ladies Championship on Sunday evening and showed just why they are many people’s favourites to claim the title. After an awesome display they defeated Donaghmore 9-14 to 0-3. Michaela Mc Guigan got all three of her team’s scores with frees off the ground but nothing or no-one was going to deny a very focused and determined Carrickmore side who led at the break 6-9 to 0-0 before finishing up 9-14 to 0-3 winners. Gemma Begley top scored with 3-6 while the evergreen Claire Mc Gurk also bagged 3-1. Maebh Mc Elroy (2-0), Caitlin Gormley (0-4), Niamh Mc Elduff (1-0), Clodagh Munroe (0-2) and Sorcha Gormley (0-1) were all on target for the winners.
