LCC Tyrone SFC Quarter Final
Carrickmore 0-10 Loughmacory 0-9

Carrickmore opened the scoring inside the first 18 seconds.  Caolan Daly firing over from a narrow angle.  By the 6th minute Carmen were two ahead thanks to a fisted point from James Donaghy.  Loughmacrory then squandered a couple chances before wing half forward Colm Logue registered their first point in the 9thminute.

Two frees from Martin Penrose and Lorcan McGarrity eased Carrickmore into a three point lead by the 17thminute and that would be their last score for some ten minutes.  Oisin O’Kane landed a 55 metre free in the 19th minute after missing one from similar distance a few minutes earlier and that score was followed up by a Cathaoir Gallagher free four minutes later to leave a point between the sides.

Gallagher registered his first point from play in the 26th minute to level the contest having missed an opportunity to land a free a few seconds later.  Martin Penrose landed his second point of the half from a mark in the 27th minute and a 32nd minute point from Ruairi Slane concluded the first half scoring.  Half Time – Carrickmore 0-6 Loughmacrory 0-4.

Carrickmore opened the second half scoring in the 34th minute as Aidan Fullerton fired a point over off the outside of the right boot. Then a superb block from Ruairi Slane denied Eoin Mullin a goal that would have levelled the contest. Carrickmore might well have had a goal themselves in the 46th minute but the Martin Penrose shot flashed over the crossbar.  At 0-8 to 0-4 Carrikmore loked safe with just nine minutes to go.

Loughmacrory though has other thoughts.   Cathal Donaghy point was followed up with a 54th minute mark from Gareth Donaghy.  A minute later Pauric Meenagh landed a free and when the same play hit another from a mark in the 59th minutes the side were level a 0-8 apiece.

A Lorcan McGarrity free from 45 metres in the 60th minute was cancelled out by a Pauric Meenagh free two minutes into injury time.  It looked to everyone concerned that the game was destined for extra time but Carrickmore had other ideas.  Cue Jack McCallan.  The Carrickmore number one nailed a 45 in the dying seconds to send Carmen into the last four.
