St Patrick’s Academy Dungannon hurlers have reached their first Casement Cup final, having seen off competition from two Belfast schools at the quarter and semi-final stages.  This is the latest in a number of hurling achievements in the school over recent years.  Seven members of the current team were some of the first to achieve Ulster Colleges success lifting the Leopold Cup in 2008; several of this squad achieved their most recent success in April of this year when they saw off stiff competition from Edmund Rice Glengormley to win the Kirk Cup, with Ruairi Devlin and Michael Maneely achieving success on both of these occasions.

This team is built around players from the Eoghan Ruadh and Naomh Columcille clubs.  Joint captains Damian Casey and Tiernan Morgan, along with Ruairi Devlin, were all instrumental in Tyrone’s Minor Hurling All Ireland success in 2010.

This match was originally fixed forFriday night in Casement Park but has now been rescheduled for Tues 1st Nov at 7.30pm in The Morgan Athletic Grounds in Armagh.
