Clonoe made it five wins out of five when a powerful second half display saw them overcome Kildress at Gortacladdy. The hosts gave as good as they got in the opening period before being overrun after the break. Shea Quinn scored all bar one of the Wolfe Tones tally with Tiarnan McNally their other marksman on the day. Tommy Taggert was once again in fine form for the Rahillys with 0-8 to his name with Ryan Quinn getting 1-3, Connor McAliskey 0-4, Ronan Corey, Eoin Mansell, Rhys Donnelly and Ryan McCabe a brace of points each with James Taggart raising a green flag.
Eglish also still have a perfect record after they too had to work hard to get the better of Owen Roes at Connolly Park. Ethan Jordan continued his rich vein of form with an outstanding 1-11 to his name including as trio of two pointers with Conor McCann 1-1, Seamus Muldoon 0-3 and Turlough Muldoon 0-2 all on target as well. Cathal McShane weighed in with 0-7 for the visitors with Ronan McNulty and defender Aodhan Gormley getting their goals with Conn Tinney and Tony Devine also on target for an Owen Roes side who were four in front in the third quarter.
Moy are one of three sides who are joint top of the table and they were in fine scoring form on their trip to Fintona. Declan Conroy hit 1-3 with Jamie Coleman grabbing a brace of goals and Liam McGeary 0-4, Ryan Coleman 0-4, Michael Conroy 0-3 and Diarmuid McKeown 0-3 supplying points. Mark McGlinn hit a couple of two pointers for the Pearses with Jared Brogan 0-5, Caolan Donnely 0-3 and Callum Welsh all raising white flags as well.
Rock collected their first points of the campaign and they did it in style with a victory away to Coalisland. Diarmaid Carroll bagged their goal with Shane Murphy landing half a dozen points including two two pointers while Liam Nugent 0-3, Conor McGarrity 0-3 and Aidan McGarrity all found the range as well. Tiernan Quinn top scored for the Fianna with 1-5 with Cormac O’Hagan notching three points and Bailey Leonard, Paddy McNeice and Plunkett Kane all on target as well.
Drumquin had the minimum to spare away to Killeeshil to crucially move onto five points and leave the home side still looking to break their duck. Oisin Gormley once again led the way in the scoring stakes for the Wolfe Tones with 0-9 to his name with his haul including three two pointers with Ronan Strain getting 0-4 and Frank McAlynn and Finnen Patterson a brace each. Michael O’Neill 0-5, Gary Reilly 1-1 and Packie McMullan 0-3 were among the marksmen for Killeeshil.
Aghaloo grabbed a last minute goal from Niall McElroy to see off the challenge of Stewartstown and bag their first points since their return to Intermediate football. McElroy finished with 2-3 to his name with Tiarnan Donnelly getting their other goal and Conor Mullen 0-3 and Ruairi McGlone 0-2 featuring among their points. Shea O’Neill top scored for the Harps with 2-2 to his name while Dan Lowe hit 1-3, Stephen Talbot two points and Tiernan Rushe their other scorer on the night.
