CBS Secure First Rannafast Win

Omagh CBS got their first win of their Rannafast campaign when they defeated St Mary’s Magherafelt 1-19 to 3-11.
Omagh CBS travelled to Magherafelt and found themselves involved in a hugely entertaining game which ebbed and flowed throughout. Omagh settled the better with early points, the pick of which from Miceal McMahon of Omagh St.Endas on his first start for the Rannafast side before St.Marys quickly closed the gap with a few excellent scores of their own.
As the first half wore on midfield dominance and strong running power of Caolan McKinney, Cormac Darcy and Matthew Garrity led to Omagh CBS opening up a sizeable lead before a goal against the run of play left 4 between the sides at the break 0-13 to 1-6.
The second half saw Omagh CBS dominate again for long spells but it took a penalty goal from Matthew Garrity to open up a gap. As the game reached its conclusion a few quick fire goals from the hosts left Omagh CBS hanging on and it took mature and skilful play by Cormac Darcy and Conal Loughran to get Omagh over the line.
Next up for Omagh is a derby clash in Trillick against St Michaels Enniskillen.
