Tyrone County Board Chairman Ciaran McLaughlin has encouraged Tyrone supporters to get to Clones early on Saturday afternoon to cheer on the Tyrone Minor Footballers who take on Derry in the semi-final of this year’s Ulster Minor Championship. “It was very encouraging to see so many people in the ground early in Armagh. I don’t think that anyone would disagree with the fact that both the minor and senior match were two brilliant games. Our minor, senior footballers and supporters did the county proud in Armagh and we are hoping that the games this Saturday will be just as entertaining. We all know that Donegal are going to prove to be a big challenge for our senior team as will Derry in the curtain raiser. The fact that U16’s can get into the game for free is certain to be appealing for families.” The Tyrone v Derry minor match starts at 2:45pm on Saturday with throw in for the senior game scheduled for a 4:30pm throw in.
