Championship Time At Under 14 And Minor

This has been a very busy time for County Board Youth Officer Eugene Mc Connell as his committee continues to oversee the completion of our underage competitions. The Under 14 and Minor competitions are both well advanced in their league programmes but the championship is what really gets the pulse racing and in both competitions at all grades there are some very exciting ties in the weeks ahead. The Under 14 quarter finals are due to be played this week and in grade one any one of these fixtures would make a worthy final. The two top games in my view are the local derby involving Feile Champions Galbally and Carrickmore and Omagh versus the Feile runners up Moortown. Mind you the other two games will be well worth seeing too with Dromore in particular fancying their chances of continuing their good record at this grade.

Grade two has seen some tremendous battles during the league and I would expect that to continue in the championship. Owen Roes look to be the form team thus far but expect a strong challenge from the winners of Greencastle v Fintona and Derrylaughan. In Grade 3 Tattyreagh will be hoping to add to their Feile success but they can expect some tough games in their bid to do the double. Drumquin have looked the team most likely in Grade four but Trillick and Brackaville fancy their chances of having a major say in the outcome of the championship at this level.

NO POSTPONEMENTS ARE PERMITTED AND EXTRA TIME TO BE PLAYED IN THE EVENT OF A DRAW!
