Having tasted success at MacRory and Hogan level both as a player and a manager Ciaran Gourley knows what it takes to be successful at the top in colleges’ football but he is well aware of the pitfalls too and he is taking nothing for granted as St.Patricks Academy Dungannon prepare for a quarter final clash with neighbours St.Pats Armagh.

“Armagh had a mixed league campaign but there is no doubt that they will ready for our quarter final meeting and with us being perceived as favourites they would love to cause an upset. The quarter final stage is perhaps the most like round were that could happen and we have to be wary of the threat that they will pose and be ready for everything that they throw at us.

To lose in the MacCormack Cup final was disappointing but we have to look ahead now. The two week break from when the final was originally to be played affected us and Enniskillen adapted better and that showed in their performance on the night but its what happens from here on in that matters most and we will refocus and we ready for the knockout stages.”
