Clarkes Secure U-14 League Title

Dungannon Clarkes defeated Strabane Sigersons in an impressive display of football at Garvaghey on Wednesday evening in the u-14 Grade 1 League Final. In front of a large crowd they found the net five times and won convincingly 5-6 to 1-6.
There was little between the sides in the opening twelve minutes as points from Oisin Mc Gillion and Oran Mc Grath for Strabane sandwiched scores from Vicky De Rosa , Jack Donnelly and Dylan Morris as the Clarkes began to find their feet. Goals from Kenny Ximenes and James Quinn in the 13th and 22nd minutes put Dungannon in control as they reached the break leading 2-4 to 0-3.
Strabane began the second half strongly with Eoin Barkley and Oran Mc Grath driving their side forward. However in spite of hitting two points they failed to make their possession count and were made to pay when Dylan Morris converted a half chance to the net to ease Dungannon 3-4 to 1-4 in front. Corner forward Jack Donnelly showed his value to the side as he hit 2-2 in the closing ten minutes to seal the win for the East Tyrone lads.
