Fine Gael Minister Heather Humphrey’s has called for the GAA at central level and Ulster level to confirm St Tiarnach’s Park Clones as the long term home for the Ulster following the announcement of an investment of over €350,000 in the Monaghan venue.
The Irish Minister for Sport Brendan Griffin was a visitor to Clones towards the end of last year where he met with members of Monaghan County Board, Ulster Council and Clones GAA.
The money is expected to be used to upgrade dressing rooms, dug outs and perimeter fencing as well as extensive work on the main Gerry Arthurs Stand.
