Clonoe O’Rahilly’s took advantage of the second chance in Eoghan Ruadh this evening to be crowned 2019 Tyrone Grade 2 Minor Football Champions after a 2-10 to 1-11 win over Moy.

Played on the excellent Eoghan Ruadh surface the Rahilly’s made a superb start to the encounter with Daniel O’Neill finding the Moy net to open the scoring. That major was followed up by a Shane Conlon point and a Ciaran Magee free inside the opening ten minutes as Clonoe extended their advantage to five points.

Shane Mackle hit Moy’s opening point in the 9th minute but better was to come just a short time later as Michael Mackle found the net for Moy. Jamie Coleman levelled the sides for the first time in the 12th minute with a free and it wouldn’t be the last time that the side were deadlocked. Two Caolan McLaughlin points were wiped out by Jamie Coleman and Steve Donaghy. Five minutes from the break Ciaran Magee edged Clonoe back in front before a major turning point in the game, as Tiarnan Devlin landed a goal from 50 yards. Moy finished the half with a second point from Steve Donaghy. Half Time : Clonoe 2-5 Moy 1-5.

Clonoe were fast out of the blocks after the break as Caolan McLaughlin and Shane Conlon eased them five ahead. Moy man Shane Mackle did respond with the first and second of five second half points but scores from Ciaran Magee and Caolan McLaughlin (2) eased Clonoe over the line. Final Score : Clonoe 2-10 Moy 1-11
