The only Division One game to be played tonight resulted in a seven point win for Clonoe O’Rahillys over Greencastle on a score line of 12 points to 5. Colm Donnelly opened the scoring for the home side but Greencastle landed the next three points to lead 0-3 to 0-1 midway through the first half. Clonoe then dominated the remainder of the half and further scores from Donnelly and a couple from PJ Lavery ensured they reached the break ahead leading 0-6 to 0-3. Greencastle landed the opening score of the second period but once again Clonoe got a grip on the game and with county minor Daniel Mc Nulty in fine form they went on to record a very convincing victory which moves them two points behind league leaders Carrickmore. Among the scorers for Greencastle were Mark Carson, John Mc Cullagh and Emmett Clarke. Further disappointing news for the losers was the injury to ace forward Mc Cullagh who was forced to retire injured midway through the second half.
