Club Championship To Go Ahead In August

Following a County Management Committee meeting tonight it has been decided that this year’s Junior, Intermediate and Senior Club Championships will all begin in August. There had been much speculation there might be an earlier starting date but the possibility of a May start for the club championship was put to bed after this evening’s decision. Tonight’s meeting confirmed that the Championship will have an August starting date which should ensure that all clubs have their league programme at an advanced stage of completion by the time the championship gets under way.
