Stewartstown made no mistake at the second time of asking in their Intermediate championship replay with Derrytresk at Eglish on Saturday afternoon as they came out on top on a 1-11 to -10 scoreline.

The Harps were worthy winners on a day when they were forced to play most of the game with only fourteen men after midfielder James Lowe was red carded in the ninth minute.  Derrytresk led 0-6 to 0-5 at the break thanks to points from Aidan Gavin, Niall Gavin, Michael Robinson and Liam Slater, Macaulay Quinn, Dan Lowe and Anton Coyle on target for Stewartstown.

Niall Gavin and Lowe exchanged points on the restart before Slater levelled matters.  An Aidan Gavin free restored Derrytresk’s lead but in the 47th minute substitute Ronan O’Neill struck for the only goal of the game.  Robinson and Quinn traded points before O’Neill and Cathal Devlin opened the gap to five. Stewartstown were this far in front in the drawn game but this time they made no mistake to book a quarter final meeting with Eskra.
